Pregnancy massage is extremely beneficial for the pregnant woman and her unborn baby. Research has found that massage during pregnancy reduces peripheral swelling, soothes the nervous system, helps to prevent insomnia, muscle cramps and back pain.

The added load on the body and shift in weight during pregnancy increases back pain and may often cause sciatica like pain shooting into your buttocks and down the leg. Massage will help ease this pain.

Stress and depression often accompany pregnancy. Regular massage at this time may help reduce stress, give you a feeling of well being and enable you to do those extra things you must do to prepare for the new baby.
